Handcrafted by master Kansari artisans from Balakati village, each coaster showcases an intricate multi-layered lotus motif that demonstrates the extraordinary skill and patience of Odisha's traditional metalworkers.The name "Padmavati"—meaning "full of lotuses" or "lotus-bearer" in Sanskrit—honors both the elaborate floral design and one of the most sacred names in Hindu tradition.

Each coaster features a breathtakingly detailed lotus with multiple tiers of petals, each layer meticulously etched to create depth, dimension, and visual richness. The central seed pod is surrounded by inner petals, which are embraced by outer petals, which are framed by decorative leaves—a composition that requires exceptional precision and countless hours of patient handwork.This elaborate lotus design draws directly from the sophisticated vocabulary of Pattachitra painting, Odisha's ancient art form that has preserved sacred iconography for over a thousand years.
