The dimiri tree or ficus racemosa is also referred to as the Audumbara tree in Sanskrit. According to the Shatapatha Brahmana, an ancient Sanskrit text , the Audumbara tree was created from the force of Indra, the leader of the gods ,that came out of his flesh when he overindulged in soma – the drink of the gods. The fruits are commonly eaten as a vegetable after the seeds have been discarded, and made into stir-fries and curries. The fruits are a favourite staple of the common Indian macaque. The rough leaves of the plant can also be used to remove caterpillar bristles lodged in skin.

– This product is handcrafted and therefore slight variations in colours, textures and forms are inevitable and aren’t flaws.

– Our ceramic jewelry is covered and protected with a waterproof glaze.Despite its toughness, ceramic jewelry may scratch or shatter upon impact, so treat your pieces with care.

– Clean by wiping with a soft, damp cloth. You can also use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth for pieces that need a deeper cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishing cloths.
