Story

Sasya, Sanskrit for "crop" or "grain" — an everyday companion piece to the Dhāna Harvest Collection's ceremonial pieces, carrying the same grain-field motif into a daily tea ritual.

The Sasya Tall set brings the wheat-sheaf motif that marks the Dhāna Harvest Collection's packaging onto a pair of hand-thrown stoneware cups and saucers. Each cup rises to a full three inches, its rounded body tapering gently to a footed base, the surface hand-carved with the same fern-like grain pattern that sweeps across the collection's wooden box lids.

Fired in the collection's proprietary clay body — a blend of terracotta and stoneware clay developed specifically for Dhāna — the cups and saucers carry the warm, earthy tone characteristic of Odisha's clay traditions, left largely unadorned but for the carved botanical band that circles each piece. The saucers, at 5.5 inches across, are wide enough to double as small serving plates for festival sweets.

Designed for the daily ritual of morning or evening tea, the Tall set suits those who prefer a fuller cup — a quiet, everyday reminder of the harvest the Dhāna collection celebrates.
