Story

Vanaspati 3 shares its sibling's bark-textured column and bamboo globe shade, but its surface carries a further detail: small hand-formed branch stubs emerging from the trunk, as though the tree has been recently pruned and the cut branches left as knots along its length — the mark of a living, growing thing rather than a static column. The glaze also introduces a turquoise-green note where Vanaspati 1 stays in tenmoku alone.

Care instruction

  • Dust ceramic base gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; do not use wet cloth or chemical cleaners on the ceramic surface.
  • The raised cascade elements are securely fired ceramic but should be dusted with a soft brush rather than pressure.
  • Clean bamboo shade with a soft brush, following the direction of the weave.
  • Clean copper-brass fitting with a dry microfibre cloth; use brass polish occasionally to maintain shine.
  • Avoid exposure to excessive moisture.
  • Recommended bulb: LED warm white, maximum 30 watts. Unplug before cleaning.
