Story

A turquoise ceramic face rimmed with hand-applied sculptural elements — clustered coral-bead forms, five-petalled blossoms, and a single starfish — reading as a tide-pool caught at the moment the water recedes. This is a different construction tier from the flat-glaze leaf clocks: every element on the rim is individually hand-formed and applied, the same technique used on the Aabha Pravāla and Mañjarī lamps.

Care instruction

  • Dust the surface regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Take particular care around the hand-applied coral, floral, and starfish elements when dusting — they are securely fired but fine tips and edges require gentle handling.
  • Do not use a wet cloth or chemical cleaners on the glazed or engobe-painted surface.
  • If dust accumulates in the recesses between raised elements, use a soft, dry brush to clear it rather than wiping directly.
  • Avoid hanging in direct, prolonged sunlight to preserve the vibrancy of the engobe colourwork.
  • For display purposes; not intended for outdoor or high-moisture placement.
