The Bhringraj leaf from the Bhringraj (Eclipta prostrata) plant is a medicinal powerhouse in Ayurveda and other traditional systems. It is commonly found growing as a weed in waste places, marshy lands, hedges, and roadsides and is one of the medicinal plant species traded in high volumes sourced mainly from wastelands! The herb, also called “The King of Hair”, is used in the preparation of hair care herbal products like shampoos, protein conditioners and revitalising hair oils. The Bhringraj plant comes in many varieties as do our commemorative stoneware plates for it, with hand-carved wooden stands, to remind us of nature’s bounty.

The pārijātā flora plates collection is a dedication to the beautiful leaves, vines, and flowers of an amazingly biodiverse state. This biodiversity is under-appreciated in the daily hustle of our lives and is threatened by rampant urban growth, climate changes and deforestation. Each ceramic plate is hand-pressed carefully embossed with a leaf, vine or flower in its natural state and glazed carefully to provide a vivid description of its texture and lines. These home decor plates are our artistic endeavour to preserve, appreciate and remind us of our green heritage in our day to day lives.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

-This product is handcrafted and therefore slight variations in colours, textures and forms are inevitable and aren’t flaws.

-Stoneware is terracotta inspired and might shed moisture.

-Wash by hand only, using a mild dishwashing soap. Dry using a soft towel or tissue. Avoid stacking ceramic bowls in the sink.

-This ceramic product is microwave-safe.
